Abstract
The clinical and pathological features of an apparently unique case of an adenomyotic cyst of the uterus are reported. The cyst was located within the subserosal myometrium of a 39-year-old woman. Prior to hysterectomy, it had ruptured with bleeding into the peritoneal cavity. The differential diagnosis of myometrial cysts is briefly discussed. Keywords
