DIMINISHED SEGMENTATION OR PREMATURE OSSIFICATION OF THE STERNUM IN CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE

Abstract
Diminished segmentation or premature ossification of the sternum is one of the most common anomalies seen in association with congenital heart lesions. The malformation is readily recognized in lateral chest X-rays. The finding of such an anomaly indicates examination for congenital heart disease.Keywords
