Abstract
The linear thermal expansion of iridium was measured in the range 891–2221 °C. The following equation was found to fit selected earlier results and the present results over the temperature range 30–2221 °C: for t expressed in °C. Thermal expansion coefficients and average coefficients of expansion were calculated.
