Phase space functions and correspondence rules

Abstract
It is shown that positive quantum joint distributions in phase space lead to quantum mechanical operators depending on the state to be considered. It is also shown that a simple requirement of canonical invariance leads to the Weyl correspondence rule as the only allowed one.Keywords
