Abstract
Liliequist's membrane, an arachnoid condensation extending from the upper border of the dorsum sellae to the anterior edge of the mammillary bodies and formerly a relatively insignificant structure, has been found to be extremely important in the neuroendoscopic management of hydrocephalus. Failure to open this membrane can lead to the failure of third ventriculostomies. Keywords
