Abstract
An electrostriction cell has been built up in order to get direct measurement of piezoelectric coefficients. This cell is a modified version of the three terminal capacitance cell for thermal expansion measurements developed in our laboratory. Several improvements have been introduced resulting in a noticeable increase in the system's mechanical stability. The requirements on the sample's size along the electrical applied field direction allow the use of speciments about 2mm thick. Keywords
