Abstract
This article discusses the development and training of nurse surgical assistants within the Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospitals NHS Trust. The training used the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) framework to facilitate application for accreditation of prior knowledge in any future NVQ award.Keywords
