Abstract
The glucuronidase hydrolysis has been adapted for the assay of pregnanediol in urines, by introducing a relatively simple purification procedure. This test is highly sensitive, gives material with a good melting point and offers a means of hydrolysis whereby other steroids are hydrolyzed to only a minor degree. It has been found possible to get effective assays on urines collected in the early follicular phase of the cycle and to utilize the procedure in the diagnosis of pregnancy. Keywords
