Abstract
Pseudomonas species were associated with severe corneal ulcers in two healthy young contact lens wearers. In both cases the source of contamination was traced to the patient's contact lens storage case. Cultures of wetting and soaking solutions in their bottles were negative. In both patients, the ulcers healed under treatment with specific antibiotics. In one case, topical corticosteroid and enzyme inhibitor therapy may have contributed to a successful result. Keywords
