Abstract
We report measurements of the magnetic susceptibility and the thermoelectric power of Ag–Au alloys containing Yb as impurity. The results show that the magnetic moment on the Yb atoms disappears in the Ag‐rich alloys where spin fluctuations seem to be important. A Kondo effect is observed for Au concentrations from 10 to 30 at.%.This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
