Abstract
There is an increasing interest in the strength of the union that can be obtained between glass ionomer cement and composite resin. Because of the variations in the physical properties of the different types and brands of both glass ionomer cement and composite resin, it is logical to assume that there will be variations in the strength of the union. An apparatus has been developed to test the union between the two materials which is simple to use and takes into account the specific requirements of both the cement and the resin in their clinical placement. Keywords
