Abstract
Liquid densities of solutions of CCl4 and CH2Cl2 have been measured at 20°C, and the excess volume has been obtained. Liquid‐vapor equilibrium studies have been made at 30°, 35°, and 39°C, and the excess free energy of mixing has been deduced. Liquid viscosities have been measured at 20°C. The excess free energy of activation for viscous flow has been calculated. Vapor viscosity measurements have been made on the same system at 20°, 80°, and 140°C, as an adjunct to the theory to calculate the parameters in the Lennard‐Jones potential. Keywords
