Abstract
WITHIN the last 15 years the clinical use of abdominal angiography has increased at a rapid rate. Safer contrast mediums, sophisticated fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment, simplified catheter introduction and well trained, experienced angioradiologists have made the procedure safe and simple enough for routine clinical application. It is the purpose of this progress report to describe the current status of abdominal angiography as a clinical tool with particular reference to selective angiography of the branches of the abdominal aorta.TechnicThe Seldinger technic1 of percutaneous puncture is applicable in all age groups, including infants and children.
