Abstract

The interaction of various unidentate ligands (L) with the halogen-bridged anionic complexes [NEt4]2[M2X6] (M=Pt,Pd; X=Br, I) has been investigated in acetone solution. Compounds of the type [NEt4][MLX3] were isolated in a number of instances when M=Pt, but in only one instance when M=Pd.
