Abstract
Incineration of biomedical wastes is the preferred option in many areas. Wastes from hospitals are frequently incinerated on site, but current air pollution limits are difficult to comply with in small incinerators. The problems arising from incineration and the methods used to deal with them are summarized. A case is made for regional biomedical waste incinerators in the U.S.A.Keywords
