Abstract
Multipole polarisabilities and shielding factors for the helium, neon and argon isoelectronic sequences have been calculated accurately in the coupled Hartree-Fock approximation. Polarisabilties and shielding factors are also presented for krypton and xenon atoms in a frozen-core approximation. Keywords
