Abstract
A Meisenheimer compound has been prepared by the action of a base on 1‐(2′‐hydroxyethoxy)‐2,4,6‐trinitrobenzene. The structure contains a 1,3‐dioxolane ring linked to the six membered ring containing the pentadienate system by a common carbon atom.Keywords
