Abstract
The MV strain of virus was used on 41 animals and administered either by intracerebral inoculation or intranasal insufflation. The basal diet ("folic acid" deficient) was supplemented with a norite eluate concentrate, prepd. from solubilized liver powder, to prepare the optimum ration. The results indicated that the rhesus monkey, when deficient in "folic acid", exhibits an increased resistance to poliomyelitis virus when the deficiency is of a chronic nature, but not when it is of the acute type. Keywords
