Homogeneous catalysis of the water-gas shift reaction using 2,6-bis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)pyridine complexes of nickel

Abstract
The water-gas shift reaction, CO + H2O = CO2+ H2, is effectively catalysed at low temperatures and pressures in water–alcohol (ethanol, propanol, or butanol) solutions by a catalyst system based on 2,6-bis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)pyridine complexes of nickel.
