Encore Olduvai

Abstract
The Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania has a long history of spectacular hominin fossil finds that have helped shape our view of later human evolution. In his Perspective, Tobias highlights the report by Blumenschine et al., who have discovered a new hominin fossil in a previously neglected part of the gorge. The fossil sheds light on the behavior and abilities of hominins 1.8 million years ago, and may also help to simplify the human evolutionary tree.
