Abstract
Lyme disease, a multisystem illness caused by a spirochete (Borrelia burgdorferi) and transmitted to humans by ticks, is increasing in incidence. Outdoor workers in areas of endemic disease are at increased risk of infection. Increased recognition of this fact will be necessary to prevent the disease in working populations. Keywords
