Abstract
It is shown that the parametric excitation of spin waves by means of a microwave magnetic field applied parallel to the dc field is accompanied by a decrease of the dc magnetic moment. In the region immediately above the instability threshold, the magnitude of the dc moment is in good agreement with the theoretical predictions. The results indicate that, immediately above the threshold, spin-wave excitation is confined to a fairly narrow region in wavenumber space. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
