Abstract
A new impregnation method which appears especially suitable for the demonstration of senile changes (plaques and neurofibrillar tangles) is described. The novelty of the method consists essentially in the introduction of one acid and one alcaline mordant. The two mordants favor the penetration of the silver solution into the altered tissue components. In this way, senile changes are consistently and clearly demonstrated.
