Abstract
A 35 yr old alcoholic male patient developed an empyema secondary to presumed aspiration pneumonia. Trichomonads were demonstrated on wet mounts and Wright-Giemsa-strained, air-dried smears of pleural fluid. Treatment with metronidazole, other drugs, and drainage was successful in curing the empyema. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
