Abstract
A degassing experiment in steps at different temperatures shows, that radiogenic A40 and primordial A36 are trapped differently in the ABBE enstatite chondrite. A40 diffuses out easily at low temperatures, while A36 is released essentially at temperatures higher than 1000°C. Xe129 follows the amount of primordial A36 and the Xe129/Xe132-ratio is 5.5 at all temperatures. This may indicate that all Xenon isotopes have been included as primordial gas and care should be taken to relate it to the Iodine content of the present meteorite sample or to add the I—Xe-age to the K—A-age of the meteorite. Keywords
