Abstract
Apical plugs were produced by compressing radicular pulp and dentin chips in 157 molars from rats. Root canal fillings were performed with 15 different materials. After seven days, tissue reaction with all materials was favorable. After 30 and 90 days, materials that contained corticoids showed a good periapical response, slight cementum necrosis, and narrowing of the foramen in many instances. Keywords
