Aplastic Anemia after Indomethacin

Abstract
To the Editor: We wish to report a case of aplastic anemia resulting in death after treatment with indomethacin (Indocin).* To our knowledge there are no other reports of a blood dyscrasia of this type occurring under these circumstances.The patient was a 42-year-old woman who had been in good health with the exception of a proved carcinoma of the breast six years earlier. A radical mastectomy and a bilateral oophorectomy had been performed at that time. Since then there had been no recurrence of the tumor.Ten days before admission to a local hospital, she was treated with indomethacin, . . .
