Abstract
Strata younger than Oxfordian (Jurassic) have been identified in the autochthonous basement of the thrust slices of the Saint-Clement region, Hautes-Alpes, France, and an Ultradauphinois slice thrust over Subbrianconnais slices has been discovered in the basal complex of the Embrunais nappe. The resulting anomalous structure is found to be reflected in the Saint-Sauveur slices, which constitute the continuation of the Saint-Clement sequence, but are simpler in structure.
