Abstract
It is demonstrated that certain limitations of sub-spectral analysis can be overcome by application of the direct method of analysis to sub-spectral energy-level patterns which cannot be transformed to, or identified with simpler spin systems. The combined use of double resonance, sub-spectral and direct analysis leads to a unique solution of an ABXY problem which involves no approximation, and the parameters of which are explicitly obtained from quadratic expressions. Keywords
