Abstract
Both heroin and alcohol addicts [human] were characterized by a high frequency and magnitude of life change as documented by the Schedule of Recent Experience (Dudley et al., 1974). The life change was highly correlated between the 2 addictions and there were no significant differences. This kind of evaluation is important in identifying areas in which social disruption is concentrated and as an aid to organizing treatment in a way that is acceptable and non-threatening to the patient. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
