Accumulation of Homologous Radioiodinated Albumin in Experimental Tumors

Abstract
Rabbits, whose livers contained Brown-Pearce tumors, were injected with I131 labeled rabbit albumin. Tumor tissue and surrounding normal liver were examined for radioactivity in unperfused and perfused animals. Significantly increased concentration of homologous radioiodinated albumin was detected in the tumor when compared to normal tissue, both in the unperfused and perfused animals.
