Abstract
Stoichiometric Nb 3 Ga has been prepared with T c = 20.3° K . Experiments show T c to be a sensitive function of lattice parameter, composition and annealing temperature. These variable are connected with unusual features of the phase diagram, the most interesting of which is that the stoichiometric composition is stable only below 700°C. The phase boundaries are discussed qualitatively in terms of the free energy function for the β‐W phase. Keywords
