Abstract
New experimental evidence is presented confirming the complex nature of the isothermal decay associated with glow peak V in TLD-100 dosemeters. From the results presented here it can be deduced that this decay is affected by several processes that prevent a straightforward interpretation of the experimental results. Nevertheless, when well specified annealing procedures are applied, the decay associated with peak V presents a single exponential dependence with time, thus supporting the conclusion that this peak follows first order kinetics.
