Abstract
The extent of biliary excretion of hydroxyethyl starch (HES) in man after intravenous administration of 500 ml of a 6% solution to nine healthy male volunteers was determined using a specific gas chromatograph mass spectrometer selected ion monitoring procedure. On the average, less than 1% of the administered dose was recovered in feces over a 14 day period. Keywords
