Comparative performance of x-ray-intensifying screens.

Abstract

Subjective and objective comparisons of imaging performance were made for 10 different X-ray-intensifying screen-film combinations. The most sensitive method was rank comparison of cadaver radiographs. Dose considerations aside, the calcium tungstate screens tested gave performance superior to the rare-earth screens.
