Preventive Group Intervention With Siblings of Oncology Parents

Abstract
Preventive group intervention was conducted with six siblings of oncology patients not evidencing behavioral problems The group sessions were successful in (a) increasing knowledge about their brothers or sister's cancer, (b) increasing knowledge and understanding of the laboratory and x-ray tests and treatments common to this conditon, and (c) facilitating their expression of feelings about the patient and about changes in the family resulting from the patients condition.Keywords
