Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A twenty-five-year-old man was admitted to the hospital for renal transplantation.Eight years previously he had failed a medical examination for military induction because of proteinuria. Two years later the urine still gave positive tests for protein, and the serum nonprotein nitrogen was 54 mg per 100 ml. Hypertension was found when he was examined by a physician one year before admission. Fatigue became a prominent symptom six months later.There was no history of recurrent sore throats, rheumatic fever, arthritis, hearing loss, hematuria, dysuria or difficulty in voiding.
