Abstract
Six sets of cumulative spring emergence data from caged Leptinotarsa decemlineata were fit by a logistic curve in an effort to predict emergence relative to accumulated heat. In general, fitting of each data set gave the same result, so the data were pooled and fit by: Y = 100[1 + exp(−0.7991 – 0.0234X)]−10.62. (X = accumulated degreedays at base temperature 9.88°C.)Mean overwintering depth in loam soils was between 7.6 and 12.7 cm, and mean survivorship increased with increasing depth. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
