Abstract
All power asymptotes of anisotropic Bianchi I cosmological models in gravitation theories with linear and quadratic curvature terms in the Lagrange function are obtained. Depending on the dominance of the fourth order terms or matter plus fourth order terms, faster or slower expansion velocities result near the initial singularity. The latter gives solutions which avoid the horizon problem. Keywords
