Abstract
A novel technique for communicating reliably via the modulation of synthetic chaos is proposed. Point-to-point communication in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) is considered and original results are presented for signal masking, recovery and noise reduction. Extensions of the technique are proposed to cater for multiuser communication. Orthogonality is demonstrated and therefore the proposed chaotic communication regime is shown to be more versatile than the known synchronised-chaotic communication. Keywords
