Abstract
Summary A group of 185 Panamanians were treated for acute malaria with 4-(7-chloro-4-quinolylamino)-α-l-pyrrolidyl-o-cresol dihydrochloride (Propoquin®). A single intramuscular injection was given to 120 patients, the adult dose being 150 mg. A single oral dose was given to 65 patients, the adult dose being 600 mg. Both the immediate and late results were quite good, comparing favorably with those produced by the other 4-aminoquinolines in common use. Toxic side effects were singularly absent. Keywords
