Assessment of antithrombotic agents: effects of dipyridamole analogues on platelet behaviour

Abstract
Sixteen analogues of dipyridamole have been examined for their effectiveness in modifying ADP— and noradrenaline-induced aggregation and electrophoretic mobility change, and for their antithrombotic action in injured rabbit arteries. No clear relationship has been demonstrated between the potency of the analogues in modifying the three test systems and no correlation could be shown between the chemical configuration of the analogues and their activity. VK 774 is the most potent analogue so far examined.
