Dermatitis from UV acrylate in adhesive

Abstract
An employee developed unusual linear bullae and dermatitis of the forearms while formulating UV curable resins for a sanitary napkin adhesive. Patch tests to work contactants showed sensitivity to tetraethylene glycol diacrylate only. The remainder of the reactions were irritant, Resin contamination of a “rest‐bar” against which the employee leaned with his forearms contributed to the artifactual appearance of his lesions.
