Abstract
The loss of 131I from leaf surfaces was shown to be temperature dependent in field and laboratory experiments. Leaves accumulated more 131I but retained less than did soil during deposition. The effective half-lives of 131I on leaves and most materials were 4–5 days. Mean deposition velocity was 0.5 cm/sec for plants in the field experiment. Keywords
