Abstract
Musico-genic epilepsy is a relatively rare variety of the large category of reflex epilepsies. This paper is a report of a case of a woman who began having seizures in response to a certain type of music when she was about 39 years old. Subsequent developments suggested a "stimulus generalization" so that now many different kinds of music precipitate seizures. There is also the suggestion that the patient exposes herself to music in order to produce seizures. The patient''s history reveals a number of events which may have been contributory to a psychological origin of her seizures.
