Abstract
Efficient energy transfer dye laser (ETDL) in the near ultraviolet region was performed in PPF-αNPO dye mixtures pumped by a N2 laser. As the PPF concentration increases, the sensitized αNPO laser power increases remarkably and its lasing wavelength largely shifts towards a shorter wavelength compared to an unsensitized system. An improved tunable range realized by this mixture system is also demonstrated. Keywords
