Abstract
Intraven. injn. of near lethal doses of epinephrine, acetylcholine, atropine and Dibenamine did not induce pseudopregnancy in rats of the Wistar strain. However, all of these drugs were able to inhibit pseudopregnancy in a significant number of animals after electrical stimulation of the uterine cervix, suggesting that Dibenamine and atropine do not inhibit pseudopregnancy by acting specifically on the adrenergic or cholinergic components of the nervous system. Complete inhibition of pseudopregnancy after electrical stimulation of the uterine cervix was obtained with ether and nembutal anesthesia. Keywords
