MIGRAINE - PLATELET HYPOTHESIS

Abstract
Evidence was presented for a hypothesis that the diverse features of a migraine attack [in humans], during the prodromal and the headache phase become explicable if migraine is caused by a primary abnormality of platelet behavior. This hypothesis places migraine among the most common disorders of the blood.
