Abstract
The authors show that a recent criticism of their second Born treatment of the ionisation of atomic hydrogen by fast electrons is unjustified. They also present their results for the case of the electron impact ionisation of helium, which disagree with those of Pathak and Srivastaval (1981) and exhibit all the features of the experimental data of Ehrhardt et al. (1982).Keywords
