Geographic scale matters in integrated assessments of global climate change issues, but incorporating a variety of scales and cross-scale dynamics in integrated assessment modeling requires confronting a number of conceptual and operational challenges, including upscaling, downscaling, tracing out cross-scale relationships, and multi-scale synthesis.Keywords
